TNBA Week 2011 - Detroit, MI

TNBA Executive Officers; along with King Melvin, Queen Catherine and Director, Pauline Davis; welcome you to highlights of the 2011 TNBA Week in Detroit, Michigan!  We “Rolled into the Motor City”, May 19 – 29, 2011, for our 72nd Annual Convention and 70th Championship Tournament.

Members from all over the United States gathered together for TEN days of “Sportsmanship, Fellowship and Friendship”. A lot of TNBA business was conducted during the 2-day convention; but throughout the week, we had time to “let our hair down” and simply enjoy one another’s company; as most of us don’t see each other but once a year….during TNBA Week.

During the course of the week; we presented out several awards to our members, inducted Life Members, announced our Hall of Fame Nominees, and awarded scholarships to our Junior Bowlers. We also crowned the 2011 Champs in the “Junior Bowlers Regional Rolloff”, “Rhodman Regional Rolloff” and the “Reed/Hawthorne Singles Classic Rolloff”. Our friendly rivalry “Battle of the Sexes Scholarship Tournament” also took place; and of course, the crowning of our 2011 King & Queen at the Coronation Ball. NEW to these festivities, was our 1st Annual Appreciation Day. There were also numerous other events in-between that made this week so very special.

Again, we’d like to thank Mr. Levert English and the Entire Detroit Senate, Detroit’s Chamber of Commerce, the bowling proprietors and the citizens of Detroit; for your generous hospitality.
