As we enter into the 2nd half of The National Bowling Association, Inc. YOUTH PROGRAM season, please "explore" some of the wonderful additions to our program; and be mindful of some of the deadlines, PARTICULARILY, the upcoming regionals, that are FAST approaching.

League Registration and Membership Certification - If you haven’t already certified your league and your Junior bowlers, PLEASE do so quickly!!! The bowlers MUST be a member in order to participate in the upcoming Regional Tournaments. Our three TNBA Membership processors are available to assist you. Contact your regional representative at:

National Recognition - High Average/Series/Game/Most Improved Awards (per age divisions - male & female) - This once suspended program has been given "new life". There will be 32 possible awards available. A one-time submission of names MUST be sent to me: NO LATER THAN APRIL 1, 2012
NEW: League Community Service Award - This award was created to recognize TNBA youth who participated in an activity benefiting their community. The National "Community Service" Award will be presented to a TNBA youth program member during National TNBA Week, May 2012, in Indianapolis, IN.
2011 - 2012 Junior Council Program - Information was distributed by Ms. Loretta Beavers, Chairperson, who oversees this local and national program. Any active local level junior council program will be able to submit names of candidates to be considered for the May 2012 National Convention attendance. As you are already aware, the TOP Senior Division winners of the various Regional Junior Tournaments will advance to the "Anthony J. Roberts Tournament", held during National TNBA week in May 2012, in Indianapolis, In. Our Junior bowlers also have the opportunity to participate in the newly re-named Junior Singles Scratch Tournament, entitled "The Veronica L. Additionally, my team and I, once again, THANK the Junior Program & Scholarship Program, Inc. (JPSP, Inc.) for their CONTINUED support in holding various fundraisers to benefit our youth bowlers, as they venture off into their educational endeavors following graduation. Their most exciting fundraiser is coming up in September 2013..."An Exotic Caribbean Cruise". We ask that everyone able, PLEASE support this venture...and have fun with the TNBA family at the same time.
AND.......since we’re talking education, don’t forget about the "Owen O. Washington" Scholarship Award Program. There are funds available to assist our youth with their educational endeavors. Deadline to your local Senate scholarship person: March 10, 2012; with deadline to the National Scholarship Chairperson: April 1, 2012. This program wouldn’t be what it is WITHOUT our wonderfully patient coaches. Any Junior Program may submit a deserving coach (male & female) for the "COACH OF THE YEAR" award; to be announced during TNBA Week in May 2012. Please submit your entries to me: NO LATER THAN, APRIL 1, 2012.
FINALLY........in the coming weeks, I will be providing you with information on a project that is near and dear to my heart: "The TNBA-USBC Joint International Training & Research Center Intiative. So....STAY TUNED!!!!
